ABOUT THE WORKBENCH

Built for careful small-batch bottling.

Bottle & Bench is an independent, free worksheet for homebrewers who need to divide one measured priming solution across mixed bottle sizes.

What this tool is

A transparent static calculator with visible formulas, source links, conservative input limits, and automated tests. It is designed to help with arithmetic and dose accounting after fermentation readiness and container suitability have been established elsewhere.

What it is not

It does not test beer, inspect bottles, measure residual gas, or certify a target pressure. It cannot decide whether fermentation is complete and does not guarantee carbonation or bottle safety.

Report a calculation issue

A useful report should include the page URL, browser and device, target CO₂, temperature and unit, sugar type, beer volume, final measured solution volume, every bottle size and count, the displayed result, and what you expected instead. Do not include private information.

Public contact address pending.

This site does not yet publish an email address. A dedicated public feedback address can be added without changing the calculator or its privacy model.

Editorial approach

The calculator uses one named model consistently. Differences between professional sources are documented instead of averaged. Formula changes require updated tests, a visible review date, and a new deployment.

Independence

No brewery, sugar supplier, bottle maker, or referenced publisher sponsors this site. External sources are cited for methods and safety context; citation does not imply endorsement.

For urgent safety concerns about a physical bottle, stop handling it unnecessarily and seek advice from the bottle manufacturer or a qualified local brewing professional.
